FDA Recall

Rick

SafeStar 55 breathing system filters manufactured by Draeger have been recalled. These filters can be used as part of the ventilator for a patient under anesthesia. The affected lot is reported as LT2103. If you use the Draeger SafeStar 55 filters, check the lot number.

Some clogged filters were mistakenly introduced into the market rather than being destroyed after inspection. Clogged filters may impede the flow of oxygen to the patient resulting in hypoxia. This is an urgent recall initiated by Draeger.

For full details, you can see the recall notice on the FDA website or contact Draeger directly.
